Two Year Rewind

Tonight, while putting together my progress report for the previous post, I found a photo taken exactly two years ago, on the evening of November 14, 2008.

The photo shows the very first piece of benchwork that had been installed that evening for what is now the east end of the yard at Lewisburg.

Two very short years later, CR&E Version Two has been operational for 11 months, has hosted five operating sessions including the February 2010 NC Rail Run N Scale Edition, and has been the source of a great deal of fun for myself and others.  A lot of hard work by a number of friends helped us get where we are today on the CR&E, and I will be forever grateful.

The first piece of benchwork on CR&E Version Two was hung on 11-14-08 and is pictured here in a photo taken that evening.  We've come a long way!
